Big Blue Bus Has issued the following service alert for Route 8 riders in Santa Monica.
On Monday, Dec. 10 from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m., the following temporary stop closures will be in effect due to construction.
There will be no service on Main Street between Pico Boulevard and Ocean Park Boulevard as well as on Ocean Park Boulevard between Main Street and Highland Avenue.
Going towards UCLA:
— Stops on Main St. at Bay St., Pacific St., and Hollister Ave. will be closed; instead use stop on Main St. at Pico Blvd. or Ocean Park Blvd. at Lincoln Blvd.
— Stops on Ocean Park Blvd. at Main St., 4th St., 5th St., and Highland Ave. will be closed; if you would prefer to board/disembark closer to Downtown Santa Monica use stop on Main St. at Pico Blvd. or use stop on Ocean Park Blvd. at Lincoln Blvd.
Going towards Santa Monica:
–Stops on Ocean Park Blvd. at Beverley Ave., 5th St., 4th St., and Main St. will be closed; instead use stop on Ocean Park Blvd. at Lincoln Blvd. (or if you are headed to Downtown Santa Monica use stop on Main St. at Pico Blvd.)
— Stops on Main St. at Hollister Ave., Pacific St., and Bay St. will be closed; instead use stop on Main St. at Pico Blvd. or Ocean Park Blvd. at Lincoln Blvd.
