A Santa Monica woman aged 19 was charged with domestic violence on Friday, April 19 after pushing her boyfriend out of their apartment and injuring him in the process.
At 11:35 am officers of the Santa Monica Police Department went to the 1000 block of Seventh Street after they had received a report of battery.
When the officers arrived they spoke with the male victim who told them his girlfriend had just assaulted him.
He explained to the officers that he had returned to the apartment that they shared at about 11 am in order to retrieve his bicycle frame.
At that time he had become embroiled in an argument with his girlfriend.
He added his girlfriend had pushed him out of the apartment.
In doing so it had caused him to fall down and slightly injure his hand.
The officers arrested his girlfriend and charged her with domestic violence.
Bail was set at $50,000.
