Free Santa Monica “Boomers And Beyond” Expo Saturday:

WISE & Healthy Aging and the City of Santa Monica are sponsoring the Westside’s largest older adult expo this Saturday, April 13 at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium.

The 2nd Annual Boomers and Beyond! Action Expo is a free event open to the public from 9 am to 2 pm.

The expo was created to bring together adults aged 50 and older with a broad range of service providers, products, and resources all of which enhance healthy living.

Attendees can meet experts in the areas of healthcare, finance, real estate, aging in place, health and well-being.

There will be wellness presentations from Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Runway Fashion Show from Santa Monica’s Main Street storeowners, and Health Screenings from UCLA.

Grace Cheng Braun, President and CEO of WISE & Healthy Aging, said last year’s inaugural expo was held on weekday with more than 600 attendees and 50 plus exhibitors.

“This year, with the event on a Saturday when working ‘boomers’ can more easily attend, we’re expecting to double our attendance and already have many more exhibitors participating,” Braun said. “This is a free community event for anyone who is interested in learning about ways and resources to support healthy aging.”

She said the one-stop event was a wonderful opportunity for the senior community.

“We’re involving more local businesses,” she said. “As an example some shops on Main Street are working with us to provide their latest clothing lines to be modeled by seniors from our organization at a 1 pm fashion runway.”

The Civic Auditorium is located at 1855 Main Street, Santa Monica. Parking is free.
