Well, it seems that the Pacifica Christian volleyball team has gotten over its mid-season slump quite well. Playing in the Brentwood Tournament over the weekend, the Seawolves displayed their dominance on the court.
Pacifica Christian went three-for-three to come up victorious, ending the tournament with a 2-0 win over host Brentwood.
The Seawolves have been on quite a roll since losing to Cate in four sets earlier this month. Since that defeat, Pacifica Christian has been on a tear lately, winning 10 games in a row entering its contest against Yeshiva University.
But the Brentwood Tournament, the Seawolves, more than proved why they are one of the top teams in the Southern Section Division 4A. The Seawolves are currently ranked No. 3 in the division and 12th in the state.
Pacifica Christian didn’t lose a set in the four games they played at the Brentwood Tournament, defeating Beverly Hills, St. Monica, Archer School for Girls, before handing Brentwood a 2-0 setback to win the tournament. The Seawolves beat Beverly Hills 2-0, with set victories of 25-13 and 25-18.
Pacifica Christian then eliminated St. Monica in two sets-winning 25-10 and 25-16. After bouncing Archer School for Girls in two sets, the Seawolves had their second encounter with Brentwood for the season. Pacifica Christian defeated Brentwood 3-0 earlier this season. This time around the Seawolves made quick work of the host of the tournament, winning 25-21 and 26-24.
