Big Blue Bus will detour its Rapid 10 route today, Jan. 4 in downtown Los Angeles for the New Year’s Race — an annual event featuring a half marathon and 5K.
BBB said Rapid 10 would be on an extensive detour to/from downtown LA during the race from 2 pm until approximately midnight.
Going towards Downtown Los Angeles
Regular route to Olive St. at Venice Blvd., then buses will detour and turn right on Venice Blvd., left on San Pedro St., right on Temple St., left on Alameda St, right on Main St., left on Vignes St., left on Alameda St., and come to a final stop on Alameda St. at Ord St.
The following stops will be missed:
- Olive at Pico, Olympic, and 9th
- 7th at Olive, Hope and Figueroa
- Figueroa at 6th and 5th
- Hope at 4th, 1st and Temple
- Temple at Hill and Spring
- Los Angeles at Temple
- Main at Alameda
As a courtesy to passengers, Rapid 10 will observe all Metro stops along the detour route.
Going towards Santa Monica
Service will begin at the temporary stop on Alameda St. at Ord St., buses will travel south on Alameda St., then detour and turn right on Temple St., left on San Pedro St., right on 16th St., left on Grand Ave., and resume regular route.
The following stops will be missed:
- Main at Alameda
- Los Angeles at Aliso and Temple
- Temple at Spring and Hill
- Hope at 1st
- Flower at 4th and 5th
- Wilshire at Hope and Grand
- Grand at 7th, 9th, Olympic, Pico and 14th
