Crossroads Boys Basketball Team Advances To Second Round: Roadrunners gear for Providence tonight

The Crossroads boys basketball team hit the road against Providence in the second round of the CIF Division 4A playoffs with game time scheduled for 7 pm tonight. Crossroads advanced after the first round win against Sage Hill.

The Roadrunners defeated Sage Hill with a 63-44 win at home on Wednesday. The win boosts Crossroads’ record for the season to 18-5. Amid a good sized crowd of Crossroads fans, the boys’ team continued to play some impressive ball as they faced their first challenge in the post-season.

The Roadrunners came out a little slow in the first quarter; however, by halftime they had settled back into their own style and took control of the game.  A number of steals, quick rebounds and defensive pressure by the Roadrunners opened up opportunities of which the team took advantage.

Chase Coleman hit a couple big shots from outside the key and then unfortunately had to leave the game due to a dislocated shoulder. Charlie Hall scored 20 points for the night. The entire team eased their way in to a great game and finished off with a substantial double-digit victory.
