Santa Monica High Singers Named YoungArts Winners:

Jennifer Gsell and Quinn D’Andrea have been named winners of the National YoungArts Foundation’s 2014 YoungArts competition in the discipline of popular voice. They are both seniors that attend Santa Monica High School and met in the high school’s choir department directed by Mr. Jeffe Hulls.

They were selected amongst 11,000 applicants through a blind adjudication process and were chosen to participate for a week of master classes and exhibitions in Miami last month.

Additionally, YoungArts serves as the exclusive nominating agency for the U.S. Presidential Scholars in the Arts, the nation’s highest honor for artistically talented high school seniors.

YoungArts alumni have gone on to become leaders in their fields.
