Guardians Of The Galaxy Tops Box Office On Opening Weekend:

Guardians Of The Galaxy was master of its domain this weekend, with an estimated $94 million in North American box offices.

Lucy was in second place in its second week of showings, with an estimated $18.3 million gate this weekend.

Get On Up debuted in third place, with a $14 million take.

Rounding out the top 10 films this weekend in the U.S. and Canada, as estimated by the studios and collated by Rentrak, were Hercules ($10.7 million), Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes ($8.7 million), Planes: Fire & Rescue ($6.4 million), The Purge: Anarchy ($5.6 million), Sex Tape ($3.6 million), And So It Goes ($3.3 million) and A Most Wanted Man ($3.3 million).
