An alleged drunk Prius driver was arrested in Santa Monica on Sunday, Aug. 24 after the female behind the wheel crashed into a parked car.
Officers of the Santa Monica Police Department received a radio call at 12:20 am on this day telling them that a Toyota Prius hybrid vehicle had collided with a parked vehicle in the area of the 2200 block of Fourth Street.
The officers responded to the area and found the suspect vehicle at the location with noticeable damage to its frontal area.
The driver of this Toyota Prius hybrid vehicle was present at the scene. Officers instructed her to perform a field sobriety test, which she failed miserably.
The officers arrested this 28-year-old intoxicated woman, and she was charged with driving under the influence.
There were no injuries reported in this incident and bail was granted in the amount of $15,000.
