Santa Monica High Asks Community To Commit To Safe Driving:

Santa Monica High School students are asking the community to make a Safe Driving commitment.

Santa Monica High School staff and students are committed to keeping teens safe on the road. They are asking everyone 14 and older to go to www.celebratemydrive.com once a day, every day now through Oct. 24.

The more safe driving commitments the Santa Monica community makes, the better their chance to win.

Celebrate My Drive, which is sponsored by State Farm, encourages teens to make positive choices as they begin driving, like 2N2 — 2 eyes on the road, 2 hands on the wheel.

The 100 high schools with the most commitments will be awarded a total of $3.25 million* in grants:

Two schools will receive a $100,000 grant and a Grand Prize Concert by Grammy nominated The Band Perry, eight schools get a $100,000 grant, and 90 schools will receive a $25,000 grant.
