Counting Complete For 2014 Santa Monica Local Election Races, Ballot Measures:

Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk Dean Logan announced Monday afternoon the final ballot counting update for the Nov. 4, 2014 General Election.

The update includes 11,548 ballots from across the county processed since the last update on Friday, Nov. 21.

Santa Monica’s local races are part of a consolidated election, meaning the L.A. County Registrar’s office is responsible for the logistics of the election from organizing the City of Santa Monica’s 54 polling locations, to hiring election workers, to counting the votes.

Here are the final results for the local races and ballot measures relating to Santa Monica.

Santa Monica City Council (three seats):

1) Kevin McKeown: 10,138 votes (17.08 percent)

2) Sue Himmelrich: 9,262 votes (15.6 percent)

3) Pam O’Connor: 6,696 votes (11.28 percent)

4) Phil Brock: 5,854 votes (9.86 percent)

5) Frank Gruber: 5,222 votes (8.8 percent)

6) Jennifer Kennedy: 5,037 votes (8.48 percent)

7) Richard McKinnon: 4,890 votes (8.24 percent)

8) Michael Feinstein: 3,729 votes (6.28 percent)

9) Terence Later: 1,874 votes (3.16 percent)

10) Jerry Rubin: 1,635 votes (2.75 percent)

11) Jon Mann: 1,594 votes (2.68 percent)

12) Nick Boles: 1,328 votes (2.24 percent)

13) Whitney Scott Bain: 1,317 votes (2.22 percent)

14) Zoe Muntaner: 791 votes (1.33 percent)

SMMUSD Board of Education (four seats):

1) Laurie Lieberman: 15,247 votes (20.75 percent)

2) Richard Tahvildaran-Jesswein: 12,277 votes (16.71 percent)

3) Craig Foster: 12,126 votes (16.5 percent)

4) Oscar de la Torre: 11,990 votes (16.32 percent)

5) Ralph Mechur: 11,522 votes (15.68 percent)

6) Dhun May: 5,169 votes (7.03 percent)

7) Patty Finer: 5,148 votes (7.01 percent)

SMC Board of Trustees (four seats):

1) Nancy Greenstein: 14,604 votes (20.46 percent)

2) Louise Jaffe: 14,447 votes (20.24 percent)

3) Barry Snell: 11,804 votes (16.53 percent)

4) Andrew Walzer: 11,114 votes (15.57 percent)

5) Dennis Frisch: 10,177 votes (14.26 percent)

6) Maria Loya: 9,242 votes (12.95 percent)

Santa Monica Rent Control Board (three seats):

1) Nicole Phillis: 7,790 votes (37.07 percent)

2) Steve Duron: 6,746 votes (32.1 percent)

3) Todd Flora: 6,480 votes (30.83 percent)

Measure LC (Airport Land Development)

Yes: 15,434 votes (60.45 percent)

No: 10,096 votes (39.55 percent)

Measure D (City Airport Operations)

Yes: 10,288 votes (41.19 percent)

No: 14,688 votes (58.81 percent)

Measure FS (Rent Control Amendment)

Yes: 12,061 votes (51.57 percent)

No: 11,325 votes (48.43 percent)

Measure H (Real Estate Transfer Tax)

Yes: 10,364 votes (42.5 percent)

No: 14,020 votes (57.5 percent)

Measure HH (Affordable Housing – advisory vote relating to Measure H)

Yes: 12,179 votes (50.53 percent)

No: 11,923 votes (49.47 percent)
