Valentine’s Day Treats In Store For Meals On Wheels West Recipients:

Valentine’s Day 2015 will be a little happier – and a little sweeter – for more than 150 local residents who receive daily meals from Meals on Wheels West, thanks to Anthony Marguleas, founder of Amalfi Estates headquartered in Pacific Palisades.

Marguleas decided to donate delicious, gourmet heart-shaped Valentine’s Day cookies, along with hand-made holiday cards, for each Meals on Wheels West recipient.

He and his office staff will deliver the daily meals to individuals in Pacific Palisades along with their donated Valentine’s Day cookies and cards today.

Marguleas said he would continue to deliver meals to people, on this route, once a month going forward.

“We are excited to get involved with this worthy organization, deliver meals to our neighbors, and make this Valentine’s Day special for many people,” Marguleas said. “This is also the perfect way, for me and my staff, to connect with some seniors in our community. Our association, with Meals on Wheels West, also fits in, perfectly, with our commitment to charitable giving.”

Marguleas, who has individually sold more than $600 million in properties since founding his business in 1995, said he is dedicated to providing superior service to both buyers and sellers, and to giving back to the community where he lives and works.

He is devoted to a wide range of charities, schools, and civic and community organizations.

Additionally, Marguleas donates 10 percent, of the net proceeds of each property that at he sells, to the charity of the client’s choice.

Prior to launching this 10 percent donation equation for charities, he previously donated his full commission on two sales to a variety of charities and community endeavors.

A cancer survivor from 23 years ago, this passionate and dedicated entrepreneur derives great pleasure from getting involved with charitable and civic causes.

Several charities, that are near to his heart, include the Children’s PSC Foundation, the Children’s Bureau of Southern California, the Suitcase Party (to benefit children’s charities), and the Lili Claire Foundation.

Marguleas also regularly donates to a variety of schools, as well as to events in his community, including the Palisades Village Green and the Palisades Fourth of July Parade.

For those who would like to volunteer time delivering meals and/or donate money to Meals on Wheels West, phone 310.394.5133.

Meals on Wheels West brings home-based people nourishing food and friendship. Meals on Wheels West serves homebound residents in Santa Monica, Venice, Marina del Rey, Pacific Palisades, Topanga Canyon, and Malibu.
