A 62-year-old Santa Monica man was arrested and charged with domestic violence on Saturday, March 28. Officers of the Santa Monica Police Department were called out to the 2100 block of Delaware Ave. at 8:11 am in order to assist a woman who had claimed that she had been the victim of domestic violence.
When the officers arrived they met with the victim who told them that she had been at the address in order to discuss a fight that she and her boyfriend had been involved in two days prior.
The officers noticed that the victim had visible injuries to her face as a result of the fight.
The officers, while speaking with the victim spotted the boyfriend exit the residence and apprehended him.
The officers conducted their investigations and determined that the two parties had indeed been involved in physical conflict two days before and that as a result the woman had sustained the injuries.
The officers arrested the boyfriend and he was later charged with domestic violence. Bail information was not available at the time of going to press.
