Tesla Strikes Pedestrian At Santa Monica Boulevard/Centinela:

A pedestrian was struck by a Tesla and injured at a busy West Los Angeles intersection during Friday’s afternoon rush.

The victim was upright and talking after the crash, which was reported just before 6 p.m. at the intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard and Centinela Avenue near the border with Santa Monica, said a sergeant at the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Traffic Division, which was investigating the crash.

The male pedestrian, who was in a crosswalk when struck, was taken to a hospital, the sergeant said.

The Tesla driver stopped at the scene, he said.
