A 29-year-old homeless man was arrested on Sunday, Aug. 2, after yelling at children on the beach and dropping his pants and exposing himself to onlookers.
At 7:40 pm Harbor Patrol Guards of the Santa Monica Police Department were flagged down by a citizen who informed the guards that a man was in the 1300 block of Santa Monica Beach and that this man had been yelling profanities at children in the area.
The Harbor Patrol Guards went to the area and as they approached the suspect the suspect dropped his pants to his ankles, exposed his penis, and then stood there while he resumed yelling profanities at children in the vicinity.
Officers of the Santa Monica Police Department then arrived at the location and detained this man.
As the officers were searching the suspect they discovered drug paraphernalia upon his person.
This man was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and indecent exposure. Bail was set at $10,000
