The Pico Youth & Family Center (PYFC) is hosting its 8th Annual Art for Hearts Fundraiser tonight, Friday, February 26, from 6pm to 10pm at the Robert Berman Gallery.
The Valentine’s Day-themed charity event features an auction of uniquely painted wooden hearts by renowned artists.
A silent auction, live music and great food and wine are also key elements of this colorful and cause driven event, according to organizers.
Featured Artists include: Judy Baca, Lalo Alcaraz and Gus Harper, alongside over 40 others.
Tickets are $25 or $40 for two and include admission to the event as well as tequila and wine tastings, appetizers, and Guatemalan coffee.
Live music will be provided by Mayaztek and Lawrence P & The Dynomite Band.

PYFC is a non-profit organization that has served the youth and families of Santa Monica for the past 13 years. They are committed to preventing youth violence and supporting underserved youth. Through various services and caring staff support, PYFC has reduced gang membership and more importantly, gang violence in Santa Monica.
“We serve hundreds of “at-promise” youth annually, ages 14-24 through case management, counseling, tutoring, job readiness training, leadership development, music studio, film and editing and computer training,” PYFC said. The PYFC offers a unique youth center a positive alternative to the streets for many youth who seek guidance, support and needed services.
