Environmental group Heal the Bay hosted its annual Bring Back the Beach Gala June 9 on the sand at The Jonathan Beach Club.
Reflecting the diverse nature of Southern California’s ocean lovers, the nonprofit saluted the eco-accomplishments of veteran water warrior Felicia Marcus, the beach lifeguard division of the L.A. County Fire Department and Heal the Bay board member Paul Stimpfl and his employer Wells Fargo & Company.
Awards were presented by actors Andie
MacDowell, Perrey Reeves, Heal the Bay Board Member Amy Smart, and David Chokachi.
Notable guests included Ireland Baldwin,
Jack Quaid, Eric Balfour, Breeda Wool, Downtown Julie Brown, Heal the Bay Board Member Sharon Lawrence, and Heal the Bay Ambassadors Ali Larter and Hayes MacArthur, Sean Murray, Troy Garity, and Beau Mirchoff.
The evening included special acrobatic and dance performances as well as a musical performance by the band Venice. The crowd of more than 1,000 guests participated in a live-auction as well as a silent auction to raise funds to benefit the non-profit and help achieve their goals to clean and maintain the coastal waters of Southern California.
