Santa Monica Soccer Stars!

Santa Monica Saints Girls U9 Extra (AYSO Region 20) recently won the Area 1P Championship Sectional Playoffs in Riverside, claiming victory in two games, both 6-0 shutouts.

The team includes students from Will Rogers Learning Community, Edison Elementary School, Roosevelt Elementary School and Grant Elementary School, one girl from Beverly Vista Elementary School and one from St. Augustine in Culver City.

Section 1 (largest AYSO section in the country) is made up of 125,000 players from Northern So Cal to Nevada. The team now move on to the Western States Championships in Carson City, Nevada on March 25. The team is led by an AYSO Community Volunteer, Gary Barry, as the Head Coach.
