Over 150 students in grades 3–8 will be performing across six different large ensembles
Nearly two years after the pandemic shut down all in-person operations and concerts for Elemental Music, the young musicians of this local nonprofit are preparing to take the stage once again on Saturday, March 5.
Over 150 students in grades 3–8 will be performing across six different large ensembles for strings, choir, band, classical guitar, and a full orchestra for wind and string students. For some students, this will be their very first live performance for an audience. For others, this is a long-awaited return to the concert hall.
“We are anticipating a truly special moment when our students step foot onto the stage this weekend,” says Executive & Artistic Director Josephine Moerschel. “There is nothing quite like the electric excitement of a live performance and we’re excited to bring the joy of live music back to our students and audiences in Santa Monica!”
The performances are sponsored by W.I. Simonson and Providence | Saint John’s Physician Partners ad will take place at the brand new John Adams Middle School Performing Arts Center. The 2pm concert features the Elemental Choir, Elemental Band, and Academy Philharmonic ensembles. The 4:30pm concert features the Elemental Guitar, Prelude, and Elemental Strings ensembles. General admission tickets are $15 and student tickets are $8.
