Kunu Shofu. Santa Monica High’s 6-foot-6 all-Ocean League center last season is now in the starting lineup at Fullerton College.
Shofu is playing forward, and in an 86-77 win over Victor Valley he had 25 points and eight rebounds, leading a second half surge from an intermission deficit.
Fullerton, a member of the Orange Empire Conference, has a 7-9 record.
The current Samohi team is without a big man and is adjusting to the absence of Shofu, a dominating inside presence last season.
