Latina Youth Conference Is Saturday:

Santa Monica College will stage the 16th annual Latina Youth Conference on Saturday, April 30 on campus.

Designed to help young women build strong foundations for future achievements, the conference is open to young women in grades 8 through 12 and their mothers.

On the day’s agenda are workshops, peer panel discussions, speakers, food, entertainment and a college and career expo, featuring representatives from several colleges and universities, including UCLA, USC and SMC, as well as Latinas in a wide variety of professions.
