Aircraft Silencer Technology Seminar Saturday Morning At Museum Of Flying:

A seminar will be held by the City of Santa Monica as a part of its continuing effort to enhance Santa Monica Airport’s compatibility within the community by exploring new and emerging noise reduction technologies.

An Aircraft Silencer Technology Seminar will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Museum of Flying today (9/22).

This informational seminar will directly precede the Airport’s Second Annual Open house to be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. throughout the Airport Campus.

The presentation will be given by Hans-Peter Gomolzig, Chief Executive Office of Gomolzig Flugzeug- und Maschinenbau GmbH, the German aviation manufacturer that pioneered the low noise silencer system, Quietflight.

The seminar will explain the concept, basic science and benefits behind Gomolzig’s Quietflight noise reduction system, which is currently in use in Europe. The session will include a question and answer period.
