Santa Monica Police Arrest Homeless Man, 32, For Pushing Girlfriend Off Wall:

A 32-year-old homeless man was arrested on Friday, Sept. 6 for a domestic violence incident with his girlfriend that occurred several days earlier.

This story began on Tuesday, Sept. 3, at 11:50 am when officers of the Santa Monica Police Department were called out to the corner of Lincoln Boulevard and Pico Boulevard in order to investigate a domestic violence incident.

When they arrived the officers spoke with a female victim who told them she had been sitting on a wall with her boyfriend when he suddenly pushed her off the wall.

She added that they had been fighting over a pint of vodka.

The suspect had then allegedly absconded with the woman’s cell phone and EBT card.

Paramedics had also responded to the location and were treating the victim, although she did not display any signs of injury.

The victim was, however, so intoxicated that she required hospitalization. The officers were unable of find the boyfriend at that time.

Fast-forward to 9 am on Friday, Sept. 6, and officers arrested the boyfriend after they spotted him in the 200 block of Bicknell.

This homeless man was charged with domestic violence and robbery. His bail was set at $75,000.
