A 2.8 magnitude earthquake was felt on the Westside after striking one mile north west of Marina del Rey on Thursday morning.
The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported the small earthquake struck at 7:53 am at a depth of 5.8 miles.
The epicenter was located two miles south east of Santa Monica, four miles west south west of Culver City.

The annual Nick Gabaldón Day was held on Santa Monica’s Bay Street Beach at Tower 20 Saturday, with local environmental advocate Heal the Bay helping to celebrate Los Angeles’ diverse community of ocean lovers.
