Santa Monica Committee For Racial Justice To Host Free Workshop Jan. 10:

Have you been wondering what Black Lives Matter is about?

A free workshop series sponsored by the Committee For Racial Justice will be held Jan. 10 at Virginia Avenue Park in Santa Monica.

Audrena Redmond, a BLM member, will help attendees gain a better understanding of the BLM movement and share ways attendees can be involved.

Members of AWARE-LA will also help attendees find the answer to how whites can help in the anti-racist movement on the Westside.

Audrena Redmond, B.S., M.A., is the CA Faculty Associaltion Regional Representative assigned to work with the CSUDH and CSUSM chapters. In addition, she is the lead staff for CFA’s statewide Council for Affirmative Action, Membership & Organizing Committee, and she coordinates several large leadership conferences.

Mikayla Branz and Rebecca Drago, are representatives of a coalition of White People for Racial Justice in LA, and will cover what “allies” can do to help.

This is part of an ongoing monthly workshop series sponsored by the Committee For Racial Justice.
