Early Earth Day on Promenade:

The Third Street Promenade’s Earth Day Celebration is on Saturday, April 14. In addition to eco-information booths, eco-friendly wares and food, the Solar Stage will feature events all day. The lineup is as follows:

10:00 a.m. – Opening with Stephen Longfellow Fiske and Jim Stewart, Organizing Director

10:30 – Green Nest Kids Reading – My Body, My House by Lisa and Ron Beres

11:00 – Corey Leland – kids songs

11:30 – Mike Feuer and Julia Brownley, Assemblymembers

Noon – Red Velvet – Electric Jazz Chamber Pop by Caroline Waters (keyboard) and Carter Dewberry (cello)

12:30 p.m. – Billionaires For Bush w/ Friends For A Livable Planet – campy, satirical songs and environmental street theater featuring the Carbon Man

1:00 – The Luminaries – hip hop environmental rap

1:45 – Nianna Yoga Dance – with S.L. Fiske and Band accompaniment

2:00 – Stephen Longfellow Fiske and Band – eclectic acoustic contemporary folk

3:00 – Superbroke Brass and Tin and Strings Marching Band Ensemble – madcap superheroes KOing the agents of the anti-groove with multiple instrumentation and audience interaction

3:45 – Step It Up 2007 – group photo to send to Congress to stop global warming

4:00 – Vegan Vixens – 4 lovely ladies singing, dancing and promoting environmental, animal rights, and vegetarian concerns

4:30 – Naked Americans and ADM – electric/acoustic rock

5:10 –Kevin McKeown, Santa Monica City Councilmember

5:15 – Step It Up 2007 – another group photo to send to Congress to stop global warming

5:30 – Catalog – electro-pop
