Venice Wins Playoff Opener:

The Venice High football team began the Los Angeles City Section football playoffs with a 38-14 victory over Locke High on Thursday, November 15.

The Western League champion Gondoliers, who have a 10-1 overall record, were scheduled for another home game in the second round against Dorsey High on Wednesday, November 21 at 7 p.m. The result was not available at press time.

Venice is the No. 3 seed in the tournament. The Gondoliers have never won the LA City championship.
