TONIGHT: Recovery Discussion Set for Live Radio Event

The host will interview guests on topics including infrastructure restoration, emotional tolls and strategies

Community leaders and residents from Pacific Palisades will discuss rebuilding efforts nearly 10 months after devastating January wildfires destroyed thousands of homes and businesses during a live radio event Tuesday night.

The program, titled “Palisades’ Road to Recovery,” airs at 7:30 p.m. at BroadStage, 1310 11th St., and will be hosted by veteran broadcaster Larry Mantle. It focuses on Pacific Palisades and nearby areas still recovering from the blazes, which collectively scorched more than 37,000 acres and razed over 16,000 structures before containment on Jan. 31.

Mantle, who has led Southern California’s longest-running daily talk show, AirTalk on LAist, since 1985, will interview guests on topics including infrastructure restoration, emotional tolls and strategies for long-term resilience. The event also ties into Mantle’s Friday movie review segment, FilmWeek.

Co-presented by BroadStage and LAist, the discussion requires free ticket reservations online, with participant data shared between the organizations for outreach purposes.
