Closed Lanes, Restricted Parking in West LA, Hollywood and Echo Park Through Late May

The approximately $70.2 million project covers multiple segments of SR-2 from Santa Monica to Echo Park and is intended to extend pavement life and improve safety.

Caltrans will implement overnight lane closures and 24-hour parking restrictions along segments of State Route 2 in West Los Angeles, Hollywood and Echo Park next week for curb, gutter and sidewalk work.

The work is part of a larger multimodal pavement rehabilitation project and will occur from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Tuesday through Friday, May 26-29. No construction is scheduled over the Memorial Day weekend from May 23-25. Parking restrictions will be in effect around the clock from Tuesday, May 26, through Saturday, May 30.

In West Los Angeles, up to one lane in each direction of Santa Monica Boulevard will close between Cotner Avenue and Federal Avenue overnight, with no parking allowed in either direction.

In Hollywood, up to two lanes of westbound Santa Monica Boulevard and one lane of eastbound Santa Monica Boulevard will close between North Oxford Avenue and North Van Ness Avenue overnight, with no parking in either direction.

In Echo Park, up to two lanes in each direction of Glendale Boulevard will close overnight between Branden Street and Allesandro Street. One lane in each direction will also close during daytime hours from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. No parking will be permitted in either direction.
