ArcLight Cinemas To Open 14-Screen Complex In 2015 At Santa Monica Place:

ArcLight Cinemas will bring 14 screens to Santa Monica Place in mid-2015.

A new 14-screen ArcLight cinema complex will open in mid-2015 on the third level of Santa Monica Place, according to joint statement released Tuesday from ArcLight Cinemas and mall owner Macerich.

ArcLight Cinemas CEO Chris Forman said Santa Monica Place was an important shopping and lifestyle destination.

“It means a lot to our company, and to me, to partner with Macerich to bring the ArcLight experience to Santa Monica,” Forman said.

Macerich chairman/CEO Art Coppola said ArcLight Cinemas would be an outstanding addition to the destination and make ‘dinner and a movie’ at the property a spectacular choice for locals and visitors.

“The ArcLight concept is a true match for the extraordinary level of experience we have created at Santa Monica Place, a world-class luxury fashion and dining destination right in the heart of downtown Santa Monica,” Coppola said.

ArcLight Santa Monica will include a full bar, cafe, and concessions. Guests 21-years and over can enjoy wine, beer and cocktails in the designated 21+ lounge and during select screenings.
