Local Author Inspired by his Cat, Shelley:

On July 1, MSI Press published How My Cat Made Me a Better Man, the first book written by Santa Monica comedy screenwriter and filmmaker Jeremy Feig.

After graduating college, Feig moved into a very barebones apartment. He was initially bummed out about it, but soon noticed that Shelly, his cat, had taken more easily to their meager living space. He started to mentally catalog ways in which Shelly remained contented in situations that otherwise may have been taxing.

The Santa Monica Police Department have located and arrested a suspect, identified as Pablo Carlos Pineda – a 32-year-old Hispanic male, in connection with a series of violent sexual assaults and attacks which took place on the Westside.

APB: Big Mac Wack. – On Wednesday, July 13, at 6:22 a.m. an officer of the Santa Monica Police Department, who was on patrol in the Lincoln Boulevard area, spotted two women and a man who appeared to be involved in some kind of altercation at the intersection of Lincoln Boulevard and Ocean Park Boulevard.

“The Innocents,” written by Sabrine B. Karine, Alice Vial, and Pascal Bonitzer, is powerfully directed by Anne Fontaine who elicited restrained, but intense performances from each member of her talented ensemble. In Polish and French with English subtitles, this is a tender story, based on actual events, and is set in Warsaw, December 1945.

On Saturday, July 2, at 4:45 p.m. officers of the Santa Monica Police Department were called out to the Nordstrom Department Store, located at 220 Broadway, in order to investigate a pair of suspected thieves.
