The City of Santa Monica is seeking input from residents who live in rent controlled units through a survey that is active now through July 18. The survey is a tool for the City to learn about the affordable housing needs of the community, and to determine the magnitude of rent burden among rent-controlled households.

The Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District (SMMUSD) Board of Education approved the contracts of Christopher King, Ph.D. and Sylvia Rousseau, Ed.D. as co-interim superintendents at its June 29 regular board meeting. Both contracts are effective July 1, 2016 to December 31, 2016, SMMUSD announced Wednesday evening.
