Spring Sports Roundup:

Baseball

St. Monica, which had already clinched a playoff berth as the Del Rey League’s third place team, won two of three games in the final week of the regular season. The wins were over St. Bernard, 13-1 and 6-5. The loss was to Bosco Tech, 8-5. St. Monica has a 12-11 overall record and was 6-6 in the league.

New Roads won its final two regular season games to go 6-2 in the Harbor League. The scores were 18-1 over Ribet Academy and 12-2 over Community Harvest Charter.

Malibu lost a Frontier League game to Oaks Christian, 7-6. A five-run rally in the bottom of the seventh decided the contest.

Softball

Crossroads defeated Campbell Hall, 3-2 and lost to Whittier Christian, 13-2.

Brentwood won its last three games, improving to 7-1 in the Delphic League and 12-5 overall. The scores were 3-2 over Marymount, 3-1 over Scott Academy and 6-0 over Archer.St. Monica defeated Glendale Hoover 10-0 and lost to Rio Mesa of Oxnard 2-1 in the Thousand Oaks Tournament, then defeated Bishop Montgomery, 2-0 to become 13-12 overall and 4-4 in the Del Rey League.
