The Santa Monica City Council postponed a public hearing on the problems at the Santa Monica Airport. According to City Manager Lamont Ewell, information that the City had requested did not arrive early enough to enable the Council to schedule this issue for the September 25 meeting. The airport hearing will be held as part of the October 9 meeting. The Council did pass a number of recommendations and ordinances, including approval of a two-lot subdivision at 939 San Vicente Boulevard, ordinances amending the Municipal Code in regard to tenant harassment and relocation benefits, a red-light traffic enforcement pilot project, and several stormwater management projects. The Council also requested additional design ideas to be brought back regarding the Big Blue Bus’s plan to purchase trolley buses for the Mini Blue line, and heard an update on homeless services from Stacy Rowe of the Human Services Division.
