Eight to Enter St. Monica Hall of Fame:

Eight members of St. Monica’s storied sports past have been selected to enter the Mariners’ athletic Hall Of Fame.

The group includes Adrian Klemm and Marcellus Wiley, who both played in the NFL, and Leon Wood, who went on to play in the NBA and is now an NBA referee.

The others are Earl Duncan and Jason Matthews (basketball), Michael Wagner (football), Tim Layana (baseball coach) and Matthew Bambrick (student athlete).

Layana and Bambrick are deceased and will receive a posthumous tribute.

The induction will take place at a dinner October 10 at the Cantwell Auditorium.
