The No. 1 Samohi Vikings boys’ volleyball team beat the Montebello Oilers on the road in four sets on Thursday. Samohi won 25-12, 25-18, 17-25 and 25-20. Samohi takes on Bishop Montgomery in Torrance on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Crossroads Roadrunners, who came in as a third best team in the Alpha conference, move to the third round of the tournament after defeating the La Salle Lancers. Crossroads won the first two games 25-16 and 25-20, but they stumbled in the third, losing a close 23-25. Crossroads finished off the Lancers in the fourth 25-21 and will host San Gabriel on Saturday.
Both games start at 7 p.m.
