Crossroads Wins Regional: Roadrunners Take Down McFarland

Chronological order is normal for most tasks. It’s not normal for soccer rankings. But that is the progress of the Crossroads Roadrunners (18-7-2) after their 2-0 shutout of McFarland (24-6-2) on Friday night at Warren High School in Downey.

After a third place finish in the Alpha League and a second place finish in CIF Div. 6, the ‘Roads are the Div. 3 Regional Champions.

Willy Gansa and goalkeeper Dylan Ochoa received players of the match honors after Gansa scored the game’s opening goal and Ochoa made two crucial saves against McFarland’s top player, Alex Mendez, to save the shutout.
