For those of you who need a food truck meal at least once a week, calm the hankering every Tuesday in Santa Monica from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Here are a few reasons why you should check it out:
1. Think the weekly baby cousin of First Fridays on Abbott Kinney. Fewer trucks (around 10 in total) mean a smaller crowd. This isn’t a pesky street fair – think more a neighborly gathering.
2. Situated in the parking lot next to The Victorian on Main Street means there’s more parking for all and no battle royale along the hipster-thin streets of Abbot Kinney.
3. The participant list rotates so you can get something different every week, which means four times per month you can dine al fresco for about $10.
4. If you get too full to move, grab a beer or a digestive from the Basement Tavern (a dark bar in the bowel of The Victorian).
Check it out next week!
