The Santa Monica College Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting at 10:30 a.m. today, April 6, in the SMC Theatre Arts Main Stage to address a response to California Community Colleges Chancellor Jack Scott’s request that Santa Monica College postpone the Contract Education Pilot Program.
As previously reported, Scott had a conversation on Wednesday with Santa Monica College President Chui L. Tsang.
Dr. Scott asked the college to put SMC’s self-funded supplemental summer program on hold.
Santa Monica College public information officer Bruce Smith said Dr. Tsang appreciated the conversation with Dr. Scott and the exchange of information.
“The college is taking Dr. Scott’s request into full consideration,” Smith said in a statement.
The SMC Theatre Arts Main Stage is located at 1900 Pico Blvd., Santa Monica.
