On Sunday, July 15, at 7:10 p.m. officers of the Santa Monica Police Department went to the 2400 block of Oak Street after receiving a report that an assault had occurred.
When the officers arrived they spoke with the victim, a man and learned that he had been in a “love” relationship with the suspect, a woman, and that they had produced a child who lived with them.
That night this couple had began to argue and the woman had hit the man many times in the body and face.
The man had then called 911 in order to summon help.
The officers spoke with the woman and she admitted hitting the man.
The officers then arrested this 31-year-old woman of Santa Monica and she was charged with corporal injury to a cohabitant.
Her bail was set at $50,000.
