A rare opportunity to test drive the latest and most technologically advanced vehicles will be offered to Santa Monica residents at the 7th Annual Alternative and Transportation (AltCar) Expo and Conference this Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
It will be held at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium at 1855 Main Street.
The best-attended and most extensive presentation of alternative technology vehicles, the AltCar Expo also addresses emerging transportation modes, urban planning, energy efficiency, and carbon footprint reduction options.
Low and no-petroleum fueled vehicles will be available to the public to drive and purchase, including new electric, hydrogen, natural gas, propane and biodiesel cars never seen before.
The show will also include panels of experts addressing solutions to energy and transportation issues. Admission is free.
