“Good Food Fridays” Begin At Santa Monica Place Tonight:

With the arrival of the warmer months, Santa Monica Place will today launch “Good Food Fridays” – a free, family affair event that will be held the last Friday of every month.

The event, which will be held from 7 pm to 10 pm, will allow guests to mingle and enjoy freshly made food and snacks, and an exclusive array of wines, coffees, and other tasty beverages.

Festivities will include live music, art, screen-printing, cooking demonstrations, food sampling, and tastings.

Anyone who attends will be able to receive 10 percent off all purchases in The Market during the event (excluding alcohol).

The launch of “Good Food Fridays” coincides with the two-year anniversary of The Market, which is located on the third floor of Santa Monica Place.

The Market is a collection of independently owned purveyors of high-quality, artisan, organic, sustainable and gourmet food offerings from wine and cheese, to raw cuisine, and one-of-a-kind gifts.

Also part of the two-year anniversary – an array of new purveyors, as well as a special photo exhibition curated exclusively for Santa Monica Place by Santa Monica Close-Up’s Fabian Lewkowicz.

The latest purveyors include COOK by Venokado and Matthew Kenney’s M.A.K.E. Raw Cuisine and M.A.K.E. Out quick take-away bar, which complement the Culinary Academy.

The shops, cafes, and eateries in The Market offer a unique spin to the already-strong food focus of the Dining Deck at Santa Monica Place.

For anyone who has never visited The Market, it presents exclusive gourmet “foundational foods,” such as meats, olive oil, wine, cheeses, breads, fruits and vegetables, in addition to gourmet ingredients, prepared foods, and culinary related merchandise.

The newly opened Santa Monica Close-Up exhibit showcases the beauty of the Santa Monica area and includes 28 iconic photographs.

Lewkowicz’s shots capture the natural scenic beauty of the city from the sunrises to the sunsets, the shoreline, mountains, seascapes, wildlife, architecture, and its inhabitants.
