A woman who went into full cardiac arrest aboard a boat off Marina del Rey is currently listed in critical condition after being revived on Saturday afternoon.
At 1:45 pm, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department patrol boat “Edgington” responded to a call of a female in full cardiac arrest aboard a vessel located in the “Bravo” Basin of Marina del Rey.
Upon arrival, deputies found a citizen performing active hands only CPR on the female patient.
Deputy Burnett and Deputy Feder immediately took over CPR and applied an automatic external defibrillator (AED).
Los Angeles County Fire Engine 110 arrived, and after approximately 15 minutes of CPR and the application of medication, paramedics were able to obtain a weak but steady pulse.
The patient was transported via ambulance to a nearby hospital, where she is currently listed in critical condition.
