One of the first full-service, outpatient facilities, Medical Imaging Center of Southern California, will be hosting a lecture at Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel on Thursday about the advancements in Prostate Cancer imaging.
Guests are encouraged to arrive at the free event at 6:30 pm; the lecture will be held from 7-9 pm.
CEO/Chief of Radiology, Bradley A. Jabour, M.D., is an internationally recognized neuroradiologist and through his entrepreneurial ventures, has pioneered numerous imaging programs.
His latest program is Prostate MRI Health which stands at the forefront of breakthroughs in prostate cancer.
Dr. Jabour has collaborated with the world expert in prostate MRI, Jelle Barrentz, M.D., who will be the keynote speaker at the lecture.
As the Chair of the Prostate MR-Center of Excellence in The Netherlands, Dr. Barentsz states, “My dream is that MRI will become standard practice if a man has an elevated PSA.”
He said this practical and non-invasive exam replaces the dreaded 12 needle TRUS biopsy which causes complications in urinary and sexual functions of a vital male organ.
The educational lecture will present information on these pioneering techniques that will soon be the preferred way of treating, imaging, and detecting prostate cancer.
Dinner and refreshments will be served, as well as discussions by top medical professionals.
