The year of the horse will be celebrated in Santa Monica with a festival featuring the traditional Chinese Dragon Dance

The Chinese New Year Festival at Santa Monica Place continues with festivities such as entertainment inspired by authentic Chinese traditions, including traditional Chinese Dragon Dance, live music by a Chinese classical musical ensemble, Chinese stilt walkers, Chinese ribbon dancers, a Chinese henna tattoo artists, Chinese children’s crafts, complimentary fortune cookies and photo booths, and more.

"Word" Open Mind Art Space, Artist Talk & Opening Reception:

Open Mind Art Space is presenting Word, a solo exhibition featuring works by artist Benjamin Lowder. An artist talk moderated by art critic Shana Nys Dambrot and featuring FUN Gallery founder Patti Astor, will be held on Saturday, August 6 at 5:00 p.m.
