Santa Monica police arrested a 36-year-old Los Angeles man on Sunday, Aug. 10 after masturbating with a cabbage leaf on a Big Blue Bus.
Officers of the Santa Monica Police Department were called out to the area of Fourth Street and Colorado Avenue at 2:30 pm on this day in order to look into a report of indecent exposure on a Big Blue Bus.
Upon arrival the officers spoke with the victim as well as the suspect.
The victim told the officers that she had been traveling on the bus and eating her lunch during the trip when the suspect boarded the bus and seated himself next to her.
The victim stated that she had wished to be polite and thought that the suspect might be hungry so she offered him some of her salad, which he gladly accepted.
The suspect however, did not eat the salad but held it in his hand.
The victim, in another act of charity, then gave the man some money.
The journey progressed and the victim spent the next few moments looking out of the bus window.
When she next cast her eyes back upon the suspect the suspect had removed his penis from his pants, used a leaf of cabbage from the salad as a sexual aid, and was pleasuring himself with it as he sat next to the victim.
The victim stated that she had become upset about this and had risen from her seat and informed the bus driver that the man was masturbating with a cabbage leaf.
The driver then summoned the police. Based upon the statements of the witnesses the officers arrested this L.A. resident for indecent exposure.
Bail was set at $10,000.
