Santa Monica College Presents “Richard II + I” Starting Friday, Nov. 7:

The Santa Monica College Theatre Arts Department will present “Richard II + I, A Lamentable Tragedie Comedie,” Nov. 7-16 at the Theatre Arts Studio Stage on the SMC main campus, 1900 Pico Blvd., Santa Monica.

In “Richard II + I, A Lamentable Tragedie Comedie” – written by Terrin Adair-Lynch and adapted from Shakespeare’s works – it is showne the death of the late King, with the smothering of two young Princes; With a lamentable end of a shrew wife, an example for all wicked women; And lastly, the conjunction and joining of two noble Houses, a war of roses.

Show times are 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 7 and 14, and on Saturday, Nov. 8 and 15. Early shows are at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 9 and 16, and on Thursday, Nov. 13. Matinees are at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8 and 15, and on Sunday, Nov. 9 and 16. There will be no late seating.

Advance tickets are $10 plus a service charge, and can be purchased by going to www.smc.edu/studiostage or by calling 310.434.4319, Monday through Friday. Tickets are $3 higher at the door. Parking is free on Friday evenings and weekends.
