Big Blue Bus February Service Change Begins Next Weekend:

Big Blue Bus will introduce several route changes as part of its February Service Change next Sunday, Feb. 8.

Route 3M will serve the Santa Monica Civic Center and Santa Monica High School via 4th St. and Route 5 will include more downtown Santa Monica service to make better connections with other routes.

Trip times on seven other routes will be adjusted slightly. Additionally, to improve connections with other routes new bus stops have been added to various routes, and to improve schedule reliability, bus stops will be discontinued on nine routes.

Except for 3M and 5, bus users will not be seeing big changes in BBB route structures. However, users will see many improvements in customer service tools, including:

— A new comprehensive book of all of BBB’s schedules called “The Little Blue Book,” which will include a large color format System Map (online version available Feb. 8).
