The 17th annual Grammy Foundation Legacy Concert will be held Thursday, Feb. 5, at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles.
Among the stars to perform: Willie Nelson, Cyndi Lauper, Melissa Etheridge, Robin Thicke, and Aloe Blacc.
The “Lean On Me: A Celebration Of Music And Philanthropy” event is part of Grammy Awards week, which culminates with the main awards show on Sunday.
“The Grammy Foundation Legacy Concert honors significant influences in music history and highlights our year-round activities in support of our mission to protect our cultural legacy,” said Neil Portnow, president/CEO of The Recording Academy and the Grammy Foundation.
“This event was created to underscore the value of preserving our rich musical heritage so that future generations can continue to benefit from a deep appreciation of this history,” he said. “The evening’s live performances by some of music’s most celebrated artists, combined with seminal interviews and footage highlighting historical musical milestones, clearly bring our message home to all fortunate enough to participate.”
The event is sold out, but few tickets remain on Stubhub.com/Lean-On-Me.
