Hear From Director/ Screenwriter Ned Benson At Vidiots Foundation Event:

American film director, screenwriter, and producer Ned Benson will take part in the next Vidiots Foundation Director Series event on Friday, March 6, at 7:30 pm.

Benson will discuss how his three-film portrayal, “The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby,” began life as two separate films — “The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: Him” and “The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: Her” — and ended with his directorial debut film, “The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: Them.”

In addition to seeing clips and participating in a lively discussion, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions.

Benson said he has been a customer of Vidiots for years.

“I remember renting Persona at Vidiots ages ago… 2007,” Benson said. “And I just bought ‘Los Angeles Plays Itself’ from you guys.”

General admission to this event is $15/$10 for students. Doors open at 7 pm and the event begins at 7:30 pm.

Tickets can be purchased online at vidiotsfoundation.org; at Vidiots, located at 302 Pico Blvd., Santa Monica; or by calling (310) 392-8508. Parking for the event is at 1821 Main St., Santa Monica and 333 Civic Center Dr., Santa Monica.

Additionally, there will be two free film screenings of Benson’s works: “The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: Him and Her” on Tuesday, March 3 at 6:30 pm and “The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: Them” on Wednesday, March 4 at 7:30 pm. Seating is limited so plan to arrive early. The screening will be in the Vidiots Annex.
